The beginnings of Tacke + Lindemann

In 1899, Bruno Tacke and Carl Lindemann founded a hardware store in a prime location in downtown Dortmund. At Kuckelke, they initially offered everything that craftsmen of the time needed for their work: screws, nuts, chains, fittings, and tools. They also offered forged items and wood products for carpenters and private individuals.

Coffin fittings were also a popular part of the product range at the beginning of the 20th century. At that time, coffins were still made by carpenters, who also carried out the funerals themselves. They were able to purchase the materials they needed Tacke + Lindemann this work from Tacke + Lindemann .

New paths

Over the past 125 years, Tacke + Lindemann has repeatedly transformed Tacke + Lindemann and broken new ground. In 1965, Jürgen Tacke decided to stock perforated sheets. This Tacke + Lindemann only gave Tacke + Lindemann a decisive competitive advantage, but also laid the foundation for today's special range of products tailored to the requirements of industrial insulators.

At the turn of the millennium, Daniel Tacke gradually phased out the traditional hardware business, which catered to carpenters and private individuals, in favor of a specialized range of door and gate systems.

Reaching the goal together

Jürgen Tacke made the decision to stock perforated sheets after recognizing the need for quickly available sheets during customer visits. A decision made with and for the customer. The development of our range of sealing technologies is also based on such an exchange:

Tacke + Lindemann the customized special closure 2/55/60 F in cooperation with a major industrial customer. This was a milestone and an innovation for us, which has since become standard in the field of closure technologies.

We also enjoyed a long-standing partnership with the surrounding municipalities, which allowed us to witness and help shape the development of Dortmund's schools, hospitals, and many other public buildings.
